Ben Affleck, a longtime Dunkin’ loyalist, took his fandom up a notch on Tuesday when he got behind the counter at a Medford-area drive-thru to serve coffee to customers.
According to TMZ, the Cambridge native was likely filming a T.V. commercial involving the coffee giant, perhaps for the Super Bowl. Dunkin’ wouldn’t confirm what was going on but the company tweeted an eyeballs emoji on Tuesday as photos circulated online of the actor handing out coffee to Dunkin’ drive-thru customers.
“He was super nice and very quick witted,” Lisa Mackay, a Malden resident who picked up coffee from Affleck when he working the Medford drive-thru, told the Boston Globe. “Of course, handsome too!” The celebrity was also reportedly spotted handing out coffee at a Dunkin’ shop in Revere.
The actor has long been a fan of the Massachusetts-based coffee chain. There were so many paparazzi photographs surfacing of Affleck carrying cups of Dunkin’ in 2020 that Business Insider declared him an “accidental Dunkin’ influencer.” In 2019, Affleck told the entertainment publication Collider that he orders from the coffee chain once a day — and after Affleck married Jennifer Lopez, Vanity Fair wanted to know where she stood on Dunkin,’ too. Lopez was spotted alongside Affleck at the Dunkin’ shops on Tuesday.
