The Dallas Cowboys are having another very good season.
They look to tie a franchise wins record on Sunday with 13, and try to improve their playoff seeding as well.
Despite having a few hiccups of late, their defense has been stout again this year.
One player that continues to make an astounding impact is linebacker Micah Parsons.
In his second NFL season, Parsons look poised for a top-two finish for NFL defensive player of the year.
Parsons has established himself in the league as one of the best pure pass rushers.
Even though his sack numbers have been down, with no sacks since Week 15, he has a constant impact.
According to PFF, the 23-year-old is second in pressures this season with 85.

Parsons’ 13.0 sacks this season rank tied for fifth in the NFL.
But, his constant pressures provide so many problems for opposing quarterbacks.
Also, Parsons does not get any many pass-rush opportunities as some pure edge rushers do.
Guys like Nick Bosa and Myles Garrett play strictly on the defensive line.
But, Parsons is also asked to play off-ball linebacker on occasion and even drop into coverage.
When Parsons does line up as an edge defender, he has more success than anybody in the league.
According to ESPN, Parsons has a 30% pass rush win rate this season, which is tops in the NFL.
While it seems very unlikely Parsons will win DPOY this year.
It would be shocking if he does not walk away with the award multiple times over his career.
