The Chicago Bears are getting some promising news heading into their week 17 matchup.

With several star players dealing with injuries, the Bears are seeing those players making a recovery.

However, not all of those players are back to 100%.

With Sunday’s game nearing, which players are cleared, and which ones are still questionable?

Bears O-Line Gets Two Players Back While Two Receivers Remain Questionable

The Bears got some good news on offensive linemen Teven Jenkins and Cody Whitehair, as they are said to be “good to go.”

However, news on Dante Pettis and Chase Claypool have them listed as questionable.

Claypool, who the Bears got before the trade deadline this season, is dealing with a knee injury.

The injury is one which has kept the receiver out of several games this season and could keep him out of another.

With Pettis, he’s dealing with an ankle injury he suffered during Wednesday’s practice session.

The injuries to both Claypool and Pettis are a major concern, as the team is thin with their roster of receivers.

With Darnell Mooney out for the season, and Equanimeous St. Brown dealing with a concussion, the Bears have limited options at receiver.

However, St. Brown might play on Sunday as he’s progressing through the NFL’s concussion protocol.

This leaves the team with rookie receiver Velus Jones Jr., N’Keal Harry, and Byron Pringle.

They could also use Daurice Fountain if needed.

However, he hasn’t played an NFL game since 2020.

With a thin lineup of receivers, it puts pressure on quarterback Justin Fields to lead the offense with his feet.
