The Chicago Bears are closing in on clinching the second overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

While securing this pick requires them to lose out, they can’t fall any lower than the fifth overall pick.

However, people are talking about how the Bears need to get Will Anderson with their pick.

But can they do this if they fall down in the draft order?

Bears Should Have No Issues Landing Anderson

Right now, the three picks below the Bears have two teams potentially landing quarterbacks.

While the Seattle Seahawks placement is depending on the record of the Denver Broncos, they will probably get a quarterback.

However, the Arizona Cardinals might become a wild card, with J. J. Watt announcing his retirement.

If the Bears fall behind the Cardinals, it could be the only threat to their chances of landing Anderson.

But with Anderson being an outside linebacker, the Cardinals could pass on him if he’s still on the board.

While the Bears need linebacker help, they also need some offensive weapons for quarterback Justin Fields.

However, Anderson is a generational talent and has many awards since becoming a starter for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

With his talent, the Bears will be foolish to pass on him.

They need major improvements with their defense after trading and releasing most of their defensive stars.

While having the second overall pick secures them Anderson, trading or falling back can still secure him as well.

With two games left this season, fans are just hoping the Bears don’t whiff on drafting Anderson in 2023.
