The Carolina Panthers season might be in jeopardy, but at least Jaycee Horn is playing well.

Horn is currently playing at an elite level on the team’s defense, and his numbers are telling this story.

So how good is Horn this season, as he tries to help the Panthers clinch the NFC South?

Horn Is The Best In Three Categories On Defense

In a tweet from Pro Football Focus, they show how Horn is the best cornerback in three statistics.

With him having the fewest allowed passing yards and catches, he’s proving to be a lockdown corner.

However, it’s him allowing a 39.4 passer rating when quarterbacks throw his way that’s impressive.

The 39.4 passer rating is the lowest rating allowed for quarterbacks going against any corner in the NFL.

But some will dispute this claim by PFF, saying he’s going against poor receivers.

When looking at the NFC South, he faces plenty of top talent receivers who play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints.

While the Atlanta Falcons might not have star power at receiver, it’s clear Horn faces some top-tier receivers when he plays.

When he was against Amari Cooper in week one, he held him to three catches and 17 yards.

With Cooper being a top-tier receiver, Horn is showing his play isn’t just a fluke.

However, he needs to continue his outstanding play in 2022 if he wants his team to make the playoffs,

With three games remaining, the Panthers still control their own destiny in the NFL playoff race.
