On Thursday, the team signed one of its former pitchers in left-hander Matthew Boyd.
The deal is for one year and is worth $10 million.
The veteran pitcher has dealt with several injury-related issues in recent years.
In 2022, he was limited to just 10 games.
Boyd went 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA in just 13.1 innings of work.
Still, the left-hander managed to land a $10 million deal.

Pitching Market Preview
The top tier of starters includes Justin Verlander, Carlos Rodon, and Jacob deGrom.
With the oft-injured Boyd receiving $10 million on his new contract, teams may be getting an idea of how the pitching market will play out this offseason, and just how expensive the top three starters on the market will be.
Even second-tier starters such as Jameson Taillon, Chris Bassitt, Nathan Eovaldi, and Taijuan Walker could be quite expensive.
Boyd receiving $10 million could just be a preview of how everything will play out in the coming months.
Any team that attempts to sign one of the top three starters may have to break the bank a little bit in order to get what they need.
The New York Yankees and New York Mets are obviously teams that are in a position to spend a hefty amount of money, but the contracts that the top starters warrant will certainly not be cheap.
