The Buffalo Bills got some concerning news after their narrow win against the Detroit Lions.
During the game, veteran linebacker Von Miller went off the field with an injury.
While the Lions took advantage of him being out of the lineup, the Bills are hoping he can make a quick recovery.
However, how long will Miller be out, and will it affect the Bills’ season?
Ian Rapoport Gives Injury Update On Miller
In a tweet, Ian Rapoport could only tell followers on Twitter that “there is no doubt” the star linebacker will miss time.
There is no doubt Von Miller will miss time. The question is how much.
The Wild Card round of the playoffs is a more than a month and a half away. It’s 80 days until the Super Bowl. If the MRI confirms a sprain, his return could come in that window. Important tests coming. https://t.co/H0mvJA8Kcb

However, there’s no telling how long Miller can miss without some in-depth testing.
But Rapoport gives a timetable of important dates for the Bills with Miller’s injury.
He also gave an update on Good Morning Football, saying the initial exams show the star linebacker has a knee sprain.
From @GMFB: #Bills star Von Miller was diagnosed with a knee sprain based on the initial exams, source said. But the MRI will tell the full story and no one will relax until the results are in. pic.twitter.com/8fE0lodSGF

However, going into some tough division games without Miller can hurt the Bills’ playoff chances.
It was clear the Bills defense isn’t the same without Miller, as they allowed 18 points after he left the game.
While the Bills are in first place in the AFC East, four of their six remaining games are against division opponents.
With them already 0-2 in their division, they can’t afford to lose any ground.
The injury can hamper the team’s playoff chances, as their divisional opponents have handled them well so far.
While they are 8-3, any losses to division opponents can prevent them from having a playoff home-field advantage.
This makes the Miller injury very important, as the team has six games remaining this season.
