Yankees Congratulate Aaron Judge On His Accomplishment

Aaron Judge is your 2022 American League MVP.

After hitting 62 home runs and passing Roger Maris on the all-time list, the New York Yankees slugger captured his first ever AL MVP Award after falling just short in 2017.

After the veteran slugger and top free agent was announced as the winner of the award, the Yankees made sure to congratulate him on his accomplishment.

Both GM Brian Cashman and manager Aaron Boone released statements on behalf of the organization, congratulating him for winning the award, while also expressing their desire to have Judge back in a Yankees uniform on Opening Day in 2023.

The statements can be found in the tweet below.

Yankees Praise Judge For MVP

The market is starting to heat up.

Judge is going to have suitors swarming him for the next few weeks at minimum.

After hitting .311 with 62 homers and 131 RBI, Judge is set to cash in a nice payday in his next contract, wherever that may be.

The Yankees and their fans certainly hope it’s with them.

But Judge is a native of the Bay Area and could potentially be courted by the San Francisco Giants, if he desires to play closer to home.

Even if he departs, the Yankees organization will always hold Judge in high regard for what he was able to do with the team.

When he burst onto the scene in 2017, he helped guide the Yankees back to prominence after they had missed three of the previous four postseasons.

But until Judge signs, we won’t know anything more.
