Ottawa Senators coach D.J. Smith said Friday he thinks defenceman Artem Zub will return from an upper-body injury on Saturday when his team hosts the New Jersey Devils.
Another positive sign for Zub came later Friday when the Senators assigned defenceman Nikita Zaitsev to AHL Belleville.

Zub hasn’t played since Oct. 27.
The Russian has one goal and two assists in seven games this season.
Zub gives a boost to a Senators team missing top defenceman Thomas Chabot (concussion).
