5 Christmas Tree Styling Ideas

Let’s be real, our actual trees are covered in homemade crafts with a few Old World Christmas ornaments collected from Grandma over the years. Nevertheless, decorating for the holiday season brings us all sorts of joy here at LIY! And in the spirit of the season, we thought it would be fun to design our dream Christmas trees – virtually, that is. So if you’re refreshing your tree this holiday season, grab a cup of cocoa and snuggle in. Here are 5 Christmas Trees for Every Holiday Decor Style! Happy holidays and happy decorating, friends!

Let’s be real – my actual Christmas tree is covered in handmade ornaments from over the years with some Hallmark ornament gifts from grandma mixed in. BUT we now have a remodeled basement and I’m seriously considering setting up a cozy, styled tree down there with some of these items – like this tree crate that will look so great next to the hardwood floors, and these natural vibes ornaments: botanical ornament set + glittery pinecones + wooden reindeer. At this stage in life, I wouldn’t trade in our tree full of memories and my children’s creations- but the more trees in the house, the better… right?

We currently have a hand me down tree + ornaments…but, heyyyy they still look pretty I think! We also get a yearly ornament from our family that we add which is special! However, creating this virtual tree is so fun because since I was a little girl I have always wanted a tree that had light blue and white decor. So, that is why I loved the snow on this flocked tree and the touches of light blue with this ribbon and these ornaments (these too cause more is more, right?). Sprinkle in some gold and silver decor with a fuzzy tree skirt and I am ready to turn on The Santa Claus and cozy up for the season ❄️❄️❄️

Ho Ho Ho! Gold, Red with a twist of rustic is the theme of my Christmas tree this year! The minute I saw this tree I said “that’s the one!!” If you’re chopping down your own, or adding one to cart.. when you know, you know – you know?! 😉 By adding some simple ornaments to pop some color is really all it needs. But, I did wrap this cutie up just to make a simple statement with a 4CT round gold tree collar, I kid! So, if you’re fans of simple looking Charlie Brown-ish rustic trees I hope this one brings a little inspo to you this season!

This year I am definitely going for an eclectic and vintage vibe when it comes to holiday decor! I love adding in non-traditional pops of color and using my wrapping paper as part of my decor/aesthetic as well!

When it comes to home decor [holiday AND year-round], I’m drawn to neutral colors and natural elements! And yes, I also color coordinate my gift wrap – I blame my mother. Thanks, Mom! 😉 While I’ve got Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel taste, I prefer the Target and Amazon budget. You’ll find a mix of it all below, along with some unique finds from Anthro! If you’re refreshing your tree + holiday decor this season, I hope my picks bring you some inspiration along the way. Happy Holidays, friends!
