The Green Bay Packers pulled off a huge upset on Sunday when they defeated the Dallas Cowboys, 31-28.

This was a must-win game for the Packers as a loss would have dropped them to 3-7 on the year.

Now with a record of 4-6, are the Packers back in contention for the playoffs?

The answer is no.

Green Bay played very well on Sunday but they are still not a playoff-caliber team.

Also, sitting at 4-6 puts them nearly five games behind the Minnesota Vikings for first place in the NFC North.

So to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team, the Packers are going to need a winning streak.

If they somehow win the rest of their games they will go 11-6.

But the chances of that are very unlikely.

No Playoffs In Titletown

The upcoming games for the Packers include facing the Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, and Vikings (again).

Green Bay will have to beat three of those four teams to keep their season alive.

Also, looking at the rest of the NFC Wild Card race, the Packers are way back in the standings.

The Packers are ninth in the current NFC standings, tied with the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons at 4-6.

It looks like a minimum of 10 wins will be needed this season to get one of the playoff spots.

That means the Packers can only lose one more game this season.

Despite how they played against the Cowboys in Week 10, the Packers are still full of flaws.

Their special teams are bad, they have a plethora of injuries on defense and their wide receivers still leave a lot to be desired.

So even though Green Bay has been a perennial playoff team, the odds are they will miss out on postseason play this year.
