The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.16% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.03% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 91.82% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s food industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 30% in October 2022, registering a 7.48% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 23.33% share, a decrease of 10.47% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 17.88%, registering a 10.61% decline from September 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 11.21%, down 43.94% over the previous month.
Top five food companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20.7% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s food industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
J. R. Simplot posted 74 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 31.48% over the previous month, followed by Rich Products with 32 jobs and a 30.43% drop. McCain Foods with 32 IT jobs and Bunge with 31 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 20.51% decrease, respectively, while JBS recorded a decline of 67.65% with 11 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.7%, down by 11.66% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 19.09% share, registered a decline of 26.74% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 14.55% share, down 26.15% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 6.67%, recording a month-on-month increase of 69.23%.
