Rumors of a Brandin Cooks trade by the Houston Texans have made the rounds this weekend.

However, there is one NFL team that clearly wants the veteran WR on their roster.

So what NFL team is seeking to trade for the Texans star receiver?

Rumors Have The Los Angeles Rams As The One Team Wanting Cooks

The team wanting Cooks the most is his former team, the Los Angeles Rams.

The former Rams’ receiver hasn’t played for the team since their 2019 season.

It was a season that saw Cooks with one of his worst performances in the NFL.

He had a career-low in receptions and touchdowns during that 2019 season, and had his second lowest career receiving yards as well.

However, 2019 was the year that the star receiver suffered a concussion.

His concussion kept him out for two games, and he wasn’t the same during that season.

But since that time, he’s rebounded as a top-tier receiver, posting consecutive 1,000+ receiving yard seasons in Houston.

With the Rams having no clear number two receiver behind Cooper Kupp, they need their old teammate back.

However, it might be tough for the Rams to trade for the 29-year-old receiver.

Rams Lack The Proper Draft Capital To Get Cooks

With the deals the Rams made over time, they now lack draft capital.

For the 2023 season, the Rams only have their second and third-round picks through the first five rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Without a first, fourth, or fifth-round pick, they are short on draft capital for a meaningful trade for Cooks.

Giving up a second or third-rounder for Cooks doesn’t make sense for the Rams.
