The Houston Astros were stunned in game one of the World Series.
Playing at home and with an early 5-0 lead, many thought the Astros had that game in hand.
But, that could not have been further from the truth.
AL Cy Young favorite, Justin Verlander, continued his World Series woes allowing five runs of his own to get the Phillies back in the game.
With so much on the line in this game, the Astros crowd seemed quiet and nervous.
Something that did not go unnoticed by fans watching at home.
@Astros fans… come tf on.
It was emberassing watching from home in the tense moments, fans shaking in their boots quiet, thats when you GET LOUD. #Levelup crowd. https://t.co/ws2ScZKA7l— Columbus Trey (@ColumbusTrey) October 29, 2022
The energy from this @astros crowd is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen

Having the best record in the AL and second-best in baseball this year gave the Astros home-field advantage.
But, their fans did not seem as enthused as they should have been.
Momentum is a real thing in sports, especially with the energy in the fanbase.
Once the Phillies came back from that 5-0 deficit to tie the game Minute Maid Park was deflated.
It will be interesting to see how that fan base responds in game two, which is a must-win game for Houston.
Once the series shifts back to Philadelphia for games 3/4/5, the fans will be electric.
Philly has been waiting for a World Series appearance since 2009.
The Phillies have yet to lose at home in the playoffs, which is another reason this is a must-win for the Astros.
To go into Philly and win two or three games would be difficult.
Game two should feature a much better Astros crowd, as the team can feed off their energy and even the series at one.
