It looks like the New York Jets have a gem in defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.

The young defensive tackle is having his best season since coming into the NFL back in 2019.

It was his dominance over Aaron Rodgers that put the Jets at 4-2 to start the season.

So just how good is Williams doing that’s making this a monster season for him?

Williams Is Doing Better Than Aaron Donald, The Gold Standard For D-Linemen

When talking about current generation defensive linemen, Aaron Donald is the gold standard.

However, Williams is challenging Donald this season, and beating him in the statistics.

His five sacks this season is the most among defensive tackles.

That is an astonishing figure given the dominance of Donald, and the difficulty of the position.

With the young Jets star being a tackle, he must cut through the teeth of offensive lines to reach the QB.

While Donald may have more natural power, Williams must take the difficult route.

But for this young stud, that difficulty isn’t stopping him.

He’s playing so well that people are taking notice of him.

Williams Won AFC Player Of The Week After Dominating Packers Offensive Line

The Packers had no answers against Williams, which made him the AFC Player of the Week.

His two sacks, forced fumble, and blocked field goal all show how he terrorized the Packers offensive line.

While that game was huge for him, he’s not ready to rest on the monster season he’s having in 2022.
