Wide receiver DeSean Jackson has had an accomplished NFL career.

Aside from being a Second-Team All-Pro in 2009, he is also a three-time Pro Bowler.

He also holds the record for most touchdown catches for 60 or more yards with 26.

Jackson also shares the lead for touchdown receptions of at least 80 yards with five.

However, he is not hanging up his cleats for good anytime soon after an ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter’s update.

Schefter tweeted, “Veteran free-agent WR DeSean Jackson is scheduled to visit the Ravens on Tuesday, his agent @DrewJRosenhaus confirmed. At 35, Jackson wants to continue playing.”

Jackson turning back the hands of time can benefit the Ravens, especially with Rashod Bateman out and Slade Bolden on injured reserve.

With those two wideouts out of action, the Ravens only have Devin Duvernay, Demarcus Robinson, James Proche II, and Tylan Wallace at wide receiver.

Jackson is a legitimate deep threat if he still has the speed to leave defenders behind.

He last played with the Las Vegas Raiders, finishing with 233 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, his best year came in 2013 when he was still playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He had 82 receptions for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns.

Adding Depth At Wide Receiver

Aside from being the top option in the passing game, Jackson’s ability and speed will make any defender pay attention.

Once they do look after him, the running lanes will open for J.K. Dobbins and Lamar Jackson to exploit.

The Ravens hope to have Jackson ready by Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.

But then again, Jackson can only suit up after passing the physical examination.

Jackson has career numbers of 632 receptions for 11,110 yards and 58 touchdowns.
