[ad_1]

The Vancouver Canucks have recalled defenceman Noah Juulsen from the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks and have assigned forward Sheldon Dries to the minor-league club, the NHL team announced Sunday.

The transaction comes a day after defenceman Tucker Poolman exited Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers after the first period.

Juulsen, 25, played in eight games for the Canucks last season, recording two assists and a minus-4 rating.

The Canucks have started the season with two consecutive losses despite having multi-goal leads in each defeat. They face the Washington Capitals on Monday at 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
