It’s an exciting time for the city of San Diego, as their very own San Diego Padres are getting set to host their first postseason game with fans present since 2006.

The Padres have a goose to rally around, and some fun festivities planned to keep fans excited for the next few days.

Tomorrow, former Padres ace Jake Peavy will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Game 4 of the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

What makes it even more special is that Joe Musgrove will be starting that night.

Musgrove now wears No. 44 in honor of Peavy, who wore it during his time in San Diego, and Peavy himself will be wearing a Musgrove jersey.

Peavy Returns To San Diego

It’s two different eras of Padres baseball coming together tomorrow night.

An old friend makes his return to throw out the first pitch, while he wears the jersey of the man taking the mound for Game 4.

And Musgrove wears the No. 44 to honor Peavy.

Fans are going to be excited to see their former ace throw out the first pitch, and it’s going to be fun to see the crowd welcome him back to Petco Park.

Following that, Musgrove will take the mound on what could be a chance to clinch a spot in the NLCS or a win or go home game for the Padres.

There will certainly be a lot of energy around the city of San Diego tomorrow night.

This NLDS is already shaping up to be an exciting series, but more excitement is on the way.

We’ll see what happens in these next few games and if we’ll have a team advance to the NLCS tomorrow.
