The Golden State Warriors have fined Draymond Green but will not be suspending him after he punched teammate Jordan Poole during a practice last week.
Head coach Steve Kerr said Green will rejoin his teammates for practice on Thursday and the plan is for him to suit up in the pre-season finale Friday.
Kerr added that Green and Poole have spoken about the incident and that Poole and star Stephen Curry — as well as team management — were involved in the punishment decision. Kerr refused to specify how much Green was fined when asked by reporters.
“We feel like this is the best way for us to move forward,” Kerr said. “This is the biggest crisis that we’ve ever had since I’ve been coach here.”
