India’s food industry registered a 7.9% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.37% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.9% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s food industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 39.08% in September 2022, registering a 34.62% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 27.59% share, a decrease of 4% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 19.54%, registering an 183.33% rise from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 13.79%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five food companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s food industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Charoen Pokphand Foods Public posted 57 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 1.79% over the previous month, followed by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 12 jobs and a 60% drop. General Mills with 9 IT jobs and Nestle with 6 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 100% growth, respectively, while Strauss Group recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 91.95%, down by 16.67% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with an 8.05% share, registered a decline of 12.5% compared with the previous month.
