3D printing is as big as it has ever been as a hobby, and with the additive manufacturing sector expected to be worth $10 billion later this decade — a large chunk of that is hobbyists selling on Etsy — it’s the right time to get on the 3D printing train.
If you’re a first-time buyer, getting a good 3D printer deal is even more important. All of the best 3D printers have advanced features that make your life easier, so if you can snag one for under the normal price, you can get ahead of the game.
I’ve put together this list of deals from across the internet to save you from wandering around. CNET’s team will keep it updated as new deals come in and the old ones go away. While there are several companies that sell 3D printers, only Amazon regularly has sales. This year Amazon is having not one, but two Amazon Prime Days. Prime Day is always an excellent time to pick up a new printer, so check back today and tomorrow for more great discounts.

Elegoo
The Elegoo Neptune 2S is the upgrade to the impressive Neptune 2. It adds some quality-of-life improvements like a fully removable bed and larger dials to make leveling easier. At its normal price, these updates aren’t really cost-effective, but this saving puts it just $1 above the original Neptune 2 — and that makes it a real bargain.
Anycubic
The Anycubic has been one of my favorite 3D printers over the last few years. Not only is the enormous build plate helpful for multiple small prints, but it allows you to create giant cosplay pieces like helmets and armor in one go. In my review, I gave the Max a 9 out of 10 and with the savings from this deal, that number could be even higher.
Elegoo
While this might not be the newest version, the Pro 2 is still a fantastic 3D printer. With the Prime Day sale taking it down to under $200 it makes perfect sense to pick one up now.
While you are buying this, you should also stock up on Siraya Tech resin too. It’s my favorite and is on sale now.
Anycubic
The latest entry-level printer from Anycubic is surprisingly good. It comes in kit form, which gives you a chance to learn a little bit more about the machine. While that makes the setup more complicated, the printing is much easier with auto bed leveling, something I have never seen in a $200 printer. It makes everything easier, believe me.

The CR-30 is one of the first commercially available conveyor belt 3D printers, and it is fascinating to use. It isn’t for the beginner hobbyist as it takes a little bit of tweaking to get right, but once you do you can print long models like swords or lots of small models on a production line.
If you make the same model over and again for your Etsy store, this is a great printer to try.
Elegoo
The Saturn S is an excellent upgrade to Elegoo’s OG midsize resin printer. The 4K screen is excellent and the print quality is fantastic for a larger resin printer. The Saturn S has the size advantage over printers like the Mono 4K as its build area is almost twice as big. It’s perfect for making intricate pieces for cosplay, or models for your home.
Anycubic
The Photon 4K is being replaced with the new M3 series, but it could still be worth your time. With a 4K monochrome screen, the printer is very fast without sacrificing any detail. In fact, the details on this machine are superb, especially on small models like miniatures.
At $192, the Photon 4K offers an amazing entry into resin 3D printing, even if Anycubic is selling off the stock.
Materials and accessories
It’s not just the 3D printers themselves that are on sale. It’s often the accessories and materials too. While the savings aren’t as drastic — $5 to $10 savings, maybe — these add up over time when you have to buy a lot of materials for your projects.
Elegoo
Resin 3D printing can be messy and inconvenient if you don’t have the right tools. This wash-and-cure bundle lets you clean your resin prints and cure them in the special UV chamber. I like the Mercury over other wash/cure stations because of the separate stations that let you wash one model and cure another, saving you precious time.
Matterhackers
Matterhackers Build Series filament is my go-to for any large project. Whether I am making Mandalorian armor or a gunblade from Final Fantasy, Build Series makes the job way easier. It sands very well and prints easily, too.
Any time it’s on sale it is worth picking up as cheaply as you can, especially if you don’t care about the color and you are painting over it.
