Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors recently won another NBA Finals, putting a fourth ring on their fingers.
That’s a huge accomplishment and cements them as one of the most important and dominant NBA franchises in the history of the league.
Thompson has experienced more success than nearly any other player but there are still certain things that nag at him.
Klay Thompson says he’s motivated by the NBA’s Top 75 snub
“It’s gonna hurt when we win again and it’ll really hurt ‘em if we won again”

Even with all the victories he has experienced, Thompson is still rubbed the wrong way by the fact that he didn’t make the NBA’s Top 75 list.
That’s right, Thompson didn’t make the cut when the league released their list last year and he hasn’t been able to let it go.
He also hasn’t been able to stop thinking of what more wins for his team will mean.
“It’s gonna hurt when we win again and it’ll really hurt ‘em if we won again,” Thompson said when speaking of the Top 75 list to Sirius XM.
The idea of the Warriors claiming another Finals victory isn’t far-fetched at all.
Hurting Them Again
Success is the best revenge when it comes to the NBA and Thompson will feel really vengeful when the new season starts in a few weeks.
He obviously wants his team to achieve greatness once again and he knows he will be a huge part of that.
His desire to prove the critics wrong and show that he truly is top 75 material is obviously putting a fire under his feet and driving him.
It seems to be working well because Thompson is looking more and more like his old self following more than two years off the court because of injury.
Thompson was only getting better as 2021-22 went on and it stands to reason that he’ll be even more special in 2022-23.
