Herbert pushing to start, Dobbins returns for Ravens

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is pushing to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars and remains a game-time decision.

Herbert was questionable to play after suffering a fractured rib cartilage against the Kansas City Chiefs. Herbert was looking doubtful as of Friday as Chase Daniel took all the first-team reps when media viewed practice. But he’s pushing hard to go Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Baltimore Ravens will get J.K. Dobbins back for the first time this season after he missed the start of the season with a knee injury while Marlon Humphrey (groin) and Marcus Peters (knee) are active against the Patriots. As a result, Kenyan Drake will be inactive along with offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley.

Arizona Cardinals: Running back James Conner will work out pregame, but is expected that he’ll play today after being listed as questionable with an ankle injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Buffalo Bills: Safety Jordan Poyer will be inactive against Miami because of a foot injury while wide receiver Gabe Davis makes his return after missing Week 2 with an ankle injury.

Chicago Bears: Linebacker Roquan Smith will be active against the Houston Texans after being questionable with a hip injury but cornerback Jaylon Johnson won’t play with a quad injury.

Denver Broncos: Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (ribs) and cornerback Patrick Surtain II (shoulder) are expected to play Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers, according to Rapoport.

Detroit Lions: Running back D’Andre Swift (ankle), tight end T.J. Hockenson (hip), center Frank Ragnow (foot) and defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (thigh) are active against the Vikings.

Green Bay Packers: Wide receiver Randall Cobb should play against Tampa Bay, while Christian Watson isn’t expected to play because of a hamstring injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Indianapolis Colts: Linebacker Shaquille Leonard will miss another game with a back injury despite getting into practice this week.

Las Vegas Raiders: Running back Josh Jacobs will play against Tennessee after taking a private flight to Nashville while recovering from an illness that kept him out of two days of practice. Receiver Hunter Renfrow was ruled out earlier in the week with a concussion.

Minnesota Vikings: Linebacker Eric Kendricks will play Sunday against the Lions as he works through a toe injury. With safety safety, Harrison Smith ruled out with a concussion, irst-round pick Lewis Cine and Josh Metellus will split snaps in his place according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

New England Patriots: Receiver Jakobi Meyers will not play against the Ravens because of a knee injury along with safety Kyle Dugger.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Wide receivers Russell Gage (hamstring) and Breshad Perriman (knee) and running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) are expected to play today against the Packers, according to Rapoport. Julio Jones will test his knee injury during warmup to see if he will play but there is less optimism that he can go.
