The defending AFC Conference champion Cincinnati Bengals are in a tough position this season.
After two games, the Bengals are a shocking 0-2.
While the team has time to turn things around, fans must be concerned over their start to this season from their team.
So should Bengals fans hit the panic button, or will they correct things before it gets worse?
Offensive Line Improvements Haven’t Helped Bengals
Last season, Bengals QB Joe Burrow was the most sacked QB in the NFL.
Joe Burrow was sacked 51 times in 16 regular season games last year. That led the NFL.
Since then, Burrow’s been sacked 32 times in *just six games.* That would be 90 sacks in a full year. NFL record is 76.

However, this season is no different, has he’s the most sacked QB after two games.
With that sack, Joe Burrow is now the most sacked QB in the NFL.
Again.

Despite all the work the Bengals did with their offensive line, they still can’t protect Burrow.
This is troubling, as these sacks can shorten the career of the young star.
If this happens, there’s no question fans are going to hit the panic button without their star QB.
Burrow, along with Joe Mixon and Ja’Marr Chase, is the soul of the Bengals offense.
Without him, the chemistry the team has built this past season is lost.
However, Burrow has some issues himself that are concerning Bengals fans.
Burrow’s Deeper Problems Comes Off The Worst Start In His Career
The start to 2022 saw the young QB have the worst game of his career.
However, there’s deeper concern to his four interception game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week one.
Some interesting Joe Burrow numbers from Week 1, via @NFLResearch:
Three of his 4 INT came when he was not under pressure, per @NextGenStats.
Burrow leads @NFL with 15 INT when not pressured since 2021.

With the Bengals QB having a nasty habit of throwing picks while not pressured, it’s something he needs to fix.
It shows the offensive line isn’t the only problem with the Bengals.
Even when giving him protection, he’s making mistakes.
These mistakes can easily cost the Bengals games, something they can’t afford with a 0-2 record.
However, Burrow protected the ball during the Bengals loss on Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys.
So there’s some hope he can clean up the mistakes he’s made during his career.
But something he did recently can help him focus on football and improving this season.
Burrow Deletes His Social Media Accounts To Focus On Football
With Bengals fans angry, there are plenty of negative comments on social media over the Bengals 2022 season.
However, Burrow isn’t seeing any of these comments, as he’s deleted his social media accounts.
#Bengals QB Joe Burrow has decided to remove Twitter and Instagram from his phone.
He deleted both apps.

While the move can help him, it’s going to take time to see how this changes his playing ability.
With him focusing on football, it allows him to study the mistakes everyone else sees when studying his game film.
But had he done this sooner, maybe the Bengals could have won the Super Bowl last season.
However, him doing this now can give the fans hope things can improve in Cincinnati.
While some fans might want him online so they can tag him in their rants, him stepping away allows for him to focus on what’s important.
With this move, things might improve for the Bengals in 2022.
So hitting the panic button after two weeks isn’t a wise move.
However, if Burrow continues his downward spiral, then fans should start being concerned about their team.
