Pritesh Gadhia, managing director at Accenture Song UK and Ireland, shares his career-defining lightbulb moment with CNBC’s “My Biggest Lessons.”
It can be hard to ask for help at work. For some, it can come along with feelings of shame, guilt or failure.
“It often takes a lot of courage to ask for help,” said Pritesh Gadhia, managing director at Accenture Song UK and Ireland. “Nobody ever gets fired for asking for help. In fact, I see asking for help is a real strength and not a weakness.”
Gadhia admitted to CNBC “Make It” that asking for help was something he struggled with early in his career.
“I was really struggling in a high-pressure environment, trying to work out the most optimal team structure to deliver a very difficult program,” Gadhia recalled.
He ultimately found the courage to ask for help and got great advice he considered “gold dust.”
