The US’s food industry registered a 14.2% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.44% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 0.74% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.41% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.38% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s food industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 29.69% in August 2022, registering a 26.67% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 24.69% share, an increase of 75.56% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 23.44%, registering a 3.85% decline from July 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.81%, up 10.81% over the previous month.
Top five food companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s food industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
The J. R. Simplot posted 71 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Bunge with 32 jobs and a 21.95% drop. Gordon Food Service with 28 IT jobs and Nestle with 27 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 44.9% decrease, respectively, while Rich Products recorded a flat growth with 22 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.88%, up by 36.84% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.5% share, registered an increase of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.75% share, up 10% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 6.88%, recording a month-on-month increase of 69.23%.
