India’s food industry registered a 22.0% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 24.59% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.59% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s food industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.45% in August 2022, registering a 17.5% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 23.71% share, a decrease of 32.35% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 22.68%, registering a 29.03% decline from July 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 5.15%, up 25% over the previous month.
Top five food companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 6.25% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s food industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Charoen Pokphand Foods Public posted 50 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 25% over the previous month, followed by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 30 jobs and a 43.4% drop. Atlantic Grupa with 4 IT jobs and Bundl Technologies Private with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Bunge recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 89.69%, down by 3.33% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 7.22% share, registered a decline of 61.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.06% share, flat growth over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.03%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
