Chicago Cubs starter Marcus Stroman has made more than a few enemies on Twitter due to his honest, straightforward style.
He is, however, excellent with the youth: kids love him, and he always makes time for his fans.
This week, he was in the middle of a very cool moment with a young fan in Rogers Centre, the home of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Cubs, Stroman’s current team, are visiting the Jays, which is his former team.
Cameras spotted a young fan holding a sign.
Absolutely awesome from @STR0 – this young fan travelled all the way from the UK 🇬🇧

When Stroman approached the kid and his family, the young fan was crying, extremely excited to meet one of his heroes.
Stroman was spotted chatting with the kid and his family, with a smile on his face.
He then proceeded to sign a ball for him.
An Ever-Lasting Memory
It’s one of those memories that will last forever.
Some players have understood that sharing a picture, signing a jersey or a ball, or just chatting with a fan is common occurrence for them, but it could be a life-changing moment for the person on the other side.
Stroman is one of these players.
MLB would be even cooler if the league made players more accessible for the average fan, with scheduled activities.
For now, though, fans can watch their favorite stars at the stadium and on TV.
If they are lucky, they can exchange a few words or get something signed.
In his first season with the Cubs, Stroman has posted a good, but not great 4.10 ERA in 96.2 innings.
He has been one of the leaders of the rotation.
He has embraced the role both on and off the field.
