Unique Culinary Programs Help Branded Restaurants Differentiate

As more and more branded residences launch across the globe, many of them tied to internationally-known hotel names, differentiating these offerings becomes ever more important – and difficult. One line of demarcation gaining traction centers on branded residences’ culinary offerings. There’s good reason for this fresh focus on gastronomy.

A recent branded residences report from luxury international brokerage Savills reveals strong interest in culinary experiences. Six in 10 would-be buyers of homes in properties tied to luxury hotel brands reported desiring two, if not more, restaurants on premise.

Let’s sample a cornucopia of international branded residences that cater to their moneyed residents by satiating their appetites for mouth-watering cuisine.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, New York, NoMad

Residents of the 16 fully-furnished penthouse residences set in this luxury NoMad hotel have access to reservations for private, chef-driven meals created by The Bazaar, inspired by chef Jose Andres’ Spanish roots, and Zaylinya, serving a creative meze menu fare influenced by Greek, Turkish and Lebanese cuisines. Residents can also repair to one of the two terraces at the rooftop bar – among the highest in Manhattan – which features a luminous onyx bar. “The response since the hotel opened last month has been fantastic,” says Erin Boisson Aries, executive director of sales + marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, New York, NoMad

The St. Regis Residences, Rye, NY

It’s only natural to see one of the finest branded residences located in one the nation’s 30 richest towns, Rye, N.Y. Owners at this branded residence can take advantage of a unique linkage with Manhattan’s Eleven Madison Park, a celebrated restaurant with few equals worldwide. Exclusive delivery from the restaurant directly to The St. Regis Residences is now possible, as is delivery of wines and specialty cocktails from its bar.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Dubai, Creekside

The focus at this sumptuous residential setting is on bespoke culinary creations that enhance health and encourage organic food consumption. The members-only Resort Clubhouse offers an assortment of three-Michelin-Star dining options that take residents from morning repasts to late-night snacks, each emphasizing healthy cuisine and food fusion. Residents can opt to prepare meals at home, leveraging the property’s farmer’s market’s fresh-from-the-fields produce and other goods. The Residents’ Club offers private kitchens and dining areas for entertaining.

The St. Regis Residences, Los Cabos

The much-celebrated southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, home to San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, is the setting for this boutique collection of luxury villas and condominiums. A trio of signature dining rooms provides impeccable service and excellent cuisine. The all-day service menu and specialty cocktails at The Beach Club are made even more memorable by awesome perspectives over water and beach.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Zadun

Situated in San Jose del Cabo’s Puerto Los Cabos, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Zadun offers a foursome of on-site restaurants. They serve unique dishes prepared from ingredients that include locally-sourced fruits and vegetables, and include an ocean-to-table-style eatery as well as a restaurant with its own cellar and wine tastings.

Silversands Villas

The five-star hotel Silversands offers services, staffing and amenities at this collection of private for-purchase homes on the island of Grenada. The hotel has a nursery where fruits and vegetables sustainable in the tropical island climate are grown. Villas residents can order room service from Silversands’ onsite restaurants, including Asian-influenced Asiatique, as well as casual poolside eatery The Grenadian Grill.

Marriott International

This summer, as many as 6,000 Marriott International Luxury Residences owners were treated to the brand’s Coast to Coast Hospitality Tour. Says Dana Jacobsohn, chief development officer of Marriott International U.S. Luxury Brands and Global Mixed-Use: “The Coast-to-Coast Hospitality Tour initiative is a unique and curated way for us to host exclusive events right at our owners’ front doors, with customized menus and food experiences that speak to their property and location.”
