Herschel Walker Thinks Climate Change Spending Is About Trees

Republican US Senate candidate Herschel Walker denounced new spending on climate change as being about trees.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Walker said:

“They continue to try to fool you that they are helping you out. But they’re not. Because a lot of money it’s going to trees. Don’t we have enough trees around here?”

The climate portion of the measure includes billions of dollars in incentives to boost the electric vehicle industry, encourage renewable energy, and spends $150 million per year on “urban forests,” a plan to plant trees in cities like Atlanta where rapid development has stripped out established trees and increased flooding for residents.

Herschel Walker is killing his own Senate campaign. Walker has not been allowed out unsupervised very often because this is the kind of thing that he says. The climate change spending is not about trees. The Inflation Reduction Act is about promoting renewable energy and creating good-paying jobs.

Walker is making the campaign easy for Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) by opposing the creation of jobs.

Trump’s handpicked Senate candidates like Walker and Oz in Pennsylvania are floundering because they are unqualified for the offices that they are seeking. Herschel Walker is demonstrating that he should not be placed in a position to make decisions for the nation and is one of the main reasons why Democrats are looking good for keeping the Senate.
