The Cincinnati Bengals have found a franchise quarterback in Joe Burrow.
In just his second NFL season (and his first full one at that), the former LSU standout led the squad to a Super Bowl appearance.
But coming into the 2022 season, his preparations hit a snag when he underwent an appendectomy.
While that procedure sidelined him for weeks, this video proves that he is back.

FOX19’s Joe Danneman tweeted, “Two of Joe Burrow’s best throws of the day. Ja’Marr Chase called the second throw (to Kwamie Lassiter II) a ‘dime’. #Bengals.”
Before completing the pass to Lassiter, Burrow also connected with wide receiver Trenton Irwin.
The second pass was more impressive given that there are some defenders surrounding Lassiter.
However, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see Burrow making these passes because he led the league in completion percentage last season.
Burrow Has Always Defeated Adversity
An appendectomy is just one of the roadblocks Burrow has experienced in his brief NFL career.
In his rookie season, he tore his ACL and MCL on his left knee, ending his campaign after ten games.
However, he bounced back in 2021 with an AFC championship for the Bengals which merited him Comeback Player of the Year honors.
Reaching Super Bowl LVI wasn’t easy because of his team’s questionable offensive line.
But even so, they defeated the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and the Kansas City Chiefs to face the Los Angeles Rams in the big game.
The Bengals hope that Burrow won’t have to go through those struggles again after adding the likes of Alex Cappa, Ted Karras, and La’el Collins to their line.
That said, his recent operation is just a minor stumble before another potentially stellar season.
