India’s food industry IT recruitment activity drops 10.3% in July 2022


India’s food industry registered a 10.3% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.73% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.41% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.32% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in India’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s food industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 36.84% in July 2022, registering a 23.64% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 30.7% share, a decrease of 14.63% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 28.95%, registering a 2.94% decline from June 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 3.51%, down 71.43% over the previous month.

Top five food companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 6.84% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s food industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. posted 53 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 20.9% over the previous month, followed by Charoen Pokphand Foods Public with 40 jobs and a 17.65% growth. General Mills with 9 IT jobs and Nestle with 5 jobs, recorded a 30.77% decline and a 66.67% growth, respectively, while The Kraft Heinz recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.7%, down by 17.12% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.54% share, registered a decline of 23.08% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 0.88% share, down 75% over June 2022, while Entry Level postings accounted for 0.88%, recording a month-on-month decline of 75%.
