The first game of the 2022 NFL preseason kicks off Thursday night with the Hall of Fame game from Canton, Ohio.
This game features the Las Vegas Raiders going against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While most preseason games can be dull, this one could give NFL fans a reason to tune into the game.
There’s three reasons fans should watch this Hall of Fame preseason game.
3. A First Look At New Jaguars Head Coach
Last season was horrible for the Jaguars, as scandals with former head coach Urban Meyer plagued the team.
However, they are rolling with Doug Pederson for the 2022 season.
Pederson is the head coach behind the Philly Special that helped the Philadelphia Eagles win its first Super Bowl.
Less than 3 years after the Philly Special Doug Pederson is fired.
Despite what happened at the end of this year. I’ll never forget the Eagles somehow eating the Patriots. Nick Foles beating Tom Brady… and yes, Doug Pederson beating Bill Belichickpic.twitter.com/Dm0Fuywnbh

While his time in Philadelphia was short-lived, he helped bring greatness to the team.
Now he’s taking his coaching talent to Jacksonville to help them and second-year QB Trevor Lawrence.
The Hall of Fame game gives NFL fans a first look to see if he can reproduce that magic from his Super Bowl run in Philadelphia.
Fans could see some trick plays from him and the Jags offense to kick off the preseason.
2. Josh McDaniels Returns As Head Coach After Botching His Last Head Coaching Job
It’s been 12 years since Josh McDaniels has been a head coach for an NFL team.
His last tenure with the Denver Broncos ended with a stain on his record.
However, this new opportunity with the Raiders gives him a second chance with a great team.
The Hall of Fame game is the first look into how he approaches his second chance in the NFL.
He’s got the talent to send the Raiders into the playoffs this season.
But the question is, can he lead the team without leading sending them into a controversy?
His time in Denver saw him losing his job over a scandal that he knew he shouldn’t have gone through with.
Belichick needs a fall guy…hello Josh McDaniels. From #SpyGate NE to #SpyGate Denver to #Deflategate NE. He cheats a lot.

His mistakes have tainted his career.
However, this Hall of Fame game, and his new job in Las Vegas, can show NFL fans if he’s willing to remove that stain.
1. Hall Of Fame Game Gives A First Look At Davante Adams And Derek Carr Together
The hype around Davante Adams coming to the Raiders has made them a team that should be playoff bound this season.
However, some fans don’t believe Adams can post great numbers with quarterback Derek Carr.
But those fans are ones that don’t realize the connection these two players have together.
Their connection is one that dates back to their time together as teammates in college.
While their time together was nearly a decade ago, they are fired up to show fans they still have that college connection.
The Hall of Fame game allows fans to get a peak into what these two could do during the 2022 season.
While their playing time will be limited, it’s still reason enough to see what the hype is about with these two players.
Who knows, maybe Carr and Adams can make an epic drive on their first offensive possession of the game.
