1 Simple Goal For Doug Pederson In 2022

After two seasons of finishing last in the NFL standings, the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to make waves.

They made moves during the offseason and NFL Draft to get players they need for this season.

However, they also got former Super Bowl champion head coach Doug Pederson.

While Jaguars fans want their team to turn things around, it could be a slow process.

But Pederson has one simple goal to accomplish this season with the Jaguars.

If he can accomplish this goal, then things will change for the Jaguars and help them become a winning team.

Pederson Only Needs To Bring Stability To The Jaguars Franchise

Instability is a hallmark of the Jaguars, something they need to fix immediately.

With their new head coach, the team is hoping they have someone who can last in Jacksonville.

Since 2011, the Jaguars have gone through four head coaches and two interim coaches before hiring Pederson.

Some, like Urban Meyer and Mike Mularkey, lasted only one season with the team.

While some believe the coaches are only a symptom of the problems in Jacksonville, they are a key component of the franchise.

However, Pederson could be the cure the team needs if he can bring stability to the head coaching position.

With Trevor Lawrence heading into his second season in Jacksonville, he’ll need a coach that’s a leader.

He also needs a coach that brings stability, not chaos, to the team.

It’s a major goal that can lay the framework of a better team for Jaguars fans.

Does He Have The Tools To Bring Stability To Jacksonville?

If anyone doubts the ability of Pederson to bring stability to Jacksonville, they should look to the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was the coach they looked to for stability after missing the stability they had during Andy Reid’s tenure with the team.

While the Eagles fired Reid after the 2012 season, they saw after the 2015 season that they needed a stable head coach.

That’s why they would hire Pederson for the job in 2016, which landed them a Super Bowl trophy.

Two short years after he was hired, he would win that Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.

Jacksonville is in expert hands with someone who’s brought stability to a franchise before.

However, he needs to work hard for this, as Meyer’s misdeeds have destroyed the Jaguars franchise’s reputation.

Rebuilding Trust Comes Next With Pederson

It can be difficult for players to trust the Jaguars franchise after what Meyer did to players there.

This means Pederson has the tough task of rebuilding that trust between the players and their head coach.

However, trust is something that the new Jaguars head coach takes seriously.

Because of this, he’s in an influential position with rebuilding that lost trust between players and coach.

But it won’t be easy for him, as there’s a lot of work to be done with the franchise.

While the work isn’t easy, he won’t shy away from the task given to him.

This first year with Jacksonville will be the biggest test of his coaching career as he repairs the battered franchise.
