An article on Tuesday about a promise from Democratic leaders and the White House to complete a highly contested 304-mile gas pipeline in West Virginia in exchange for Senator Joe Manchin III’s support of climate legislation misstated the timing of Mr. Manchin’s announcement on the agreement. It was Monday, not Tuesday.

An article on Monday about changes in the United Auto Workers union prompted by a corruption scandal misstated the title of a union official running for re-election whose name was embroidered on backpacks to be given to members. He is secretary-treasurer, not a vice president. The article also misstated a compensation move approved by the union’s executive board. It increased pensions for staff members at union headquarters; it did not increase their pay, or the pay and pensions of the board members.

An article on Tuesday about the difficulties smokers may soon face after the Food and Drug Administration said that it would move toward slashing nicotine levels in cigarettes misstated the number of vaping products approved so far by the Food and Drug Administration. It is nearly two dozen, not six.
