With things for the Chicago Bears being quiet before the NFL preseason, they had to make some noise.
What better way to get eyes on the Bears than to do a reveal of their new orange crush uniforms for the 2022 season.
The Bears Twitter account would give fans a look at how outstanding these uniforms look.

With these limited use uniforms for the Bears comes a limited time chance to see them play in them.
The Bears wasted no time in letting fans know when they will get their first look at their team in action with these uniforms.
Bears Will Use New Uniforms In Prime Time Game Against The Washington Commanders
Set the date for Thursday October 13th, because that’s fans first look at their Chicago Bears in the orange crush uniforms.

As the Bears Twitter account would give fans the date, the schedule will show its prime time game against the Washington Commanders.
This will mark the sixth game of the season for the Bears in 2022.
With this being a huge home game, they will want to impress fans with more than colorful uniforms.
While people are loving the crush, it’s all about crushing the opponents on the field.
However, the biggest love for the new uniforms came from the son of former Bears great Walter Payton.

The Bears just need to do Sweetness right by having David Montgomery have a huge night against the Commanders.
But the reason this is big comes from something few NFL fans might know about with NFL helmet rules.
NFL Used To Have One Helmet Rule, Limiting Teams Options For Games
Before the 2022 season, the NFL had a one helmet rule for NFL teams.
With the painted helmets they can only throwback to the 80’s look (I would love this, personally).
The only way we get 70’s throwbacks is if the team goes back to using decals on the orange shell helmets, or the NFL relaxes the one helmet rule.

The reason for the NFL passing the one helmet rule, which happened in 2013, was for player safety reasons.
The NFL got rid of the rule allowing only one helmet per season that was originally implemented for “safety”.

It was their belief that sticking with broken-in helmets was safer than wearing a new helmet.
However, they are rolling back that decision and the 2022 season is seeing the Bears taking advantage of this rule change.
So what is the second game that Bears fans can see their team wearing these new helmets?
Bears Second Time Using Helmets Will Be During Game Against The Cowboys
While fans can see the Bears sporting the new look at home first, the second time with the helmets will come during an away game against the Dallas Cowboys.
This won’t be a prime time game like the Washington game, but it features another NFC East team.
It’s also just one day before Halloween, so having the orange crush helmet is kind of fitting.
However, Bears fans will hope that the defense can frighten Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
They also would love to see some trick plays that will give them a treat, in the form of a touchdown.
While the Bears aren’t a scary good team, they might still shock the Cowboys at home.
With this helmet reveal, it’s something more for fans to be excited about, especially if they win these games.
