Steph Curry Roasted 2 NBA Fanbases In Perfect Fashion

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors doesn’t only have incredible basketball skills – he has some pretty good jokes too.

Curry was given the task of hosting the ESPYS on Wednesday night and he did quite well.

Of course, hosting an awards show requires a lot of funny moments, one-liners, and great delivery.

That’s what Curry had.

Curry used the show as an opportunity to poke some fun at two of the biggest fanbases in the NBA.

Towards the end of the event, he said the show was in the “fourth quarter”, which meant that “all the LA fans are finally here” and “all the Miami fans are already gone.”

This is a pretty good joke, a biting dig at the folks who attend Lakers and Heat games.

Well played, Mr. Curry.

Coast To Coast

Los Angeles Lakers fans living in LA have long been known for this somewhat snobbish attitude and relaxed opinion about the start time of games.

It’s not just for NBA games: Los Angeles natives tend to show up long after the official start time of any event from concerts to games to even graduation ceremonies.

You can blame it on bad manners or bad traffic but LA fans are rarely on time.

Miami fans, on the other hand, seem to take off early whenever their team seems to be on the way to losing.

If you watch Heat games you have seen it before: an exodus of fans heading for the exits before the clock is even close to zero.

Curry’s own fanbase has its problems too, of course, but there was no way he was going to dig at them during his big night.
