Myles Garrett has been a blessing for the Cleveland Browns ever since he became the top overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Since then, he has been a three-time Associated Press All-Pro and a three-time Pro Bowler.

He has established himself as one of the best defensive ends in the game by having double-digit sacks in each of his last four seasons.

Garrett is also coming off his best season as a pro with career highs of 51 total tackles, 16 sacks, and three passes defended.

He will once again be the anchor of Cleveland’s defensive line as they try to neutralize some of the best quarterbacks in the game.

But the former Texas A&M standout could get extra motivation by becoming a part of a prestigious club.

The league’s official Twitter account announced that Garrett became the latest member of Madden 23’s 99 Club.

For the uninitiated, Madden gives every player an overall ranking based on a number of attributes.

Getting a 99 rating means that he is one of the elite players in the game.

His video game version will be difficult to stop.

Therefore, those who are looking to dominate on defense should pick the Browns because of Garrett.

Garrett Received 99 Club Trophy And Chain From A Hall Of Famer

To formalize his inclusion in the 99 Club, Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith surprised Garrett with his trophy and gold chain.

It’s a welcome surprise for the Browns defensive end because he stopped training to receive the recognition from Smith.

Getting praise from a legend will also motivate him to do better.

Likewise, Garrett would like to reach or surpass Smith’s 200 sacks in his career.

If he maintains the sack rate he currently has, Garrett will reach the feat in no time.
