Wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been spectacular for the Minnesota Vikings over his first two seasons.

In his maiden year, he established what was then a league record with the most receiving yards for a rookie at 1,400, to go with seven touchdowns.

His former LSU teammate and current Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase broke that mark last season with 1,455.

But Jefferson isn’t done because he improved his production in year two with 1,616 yards and ten touchdowns.

As one of the best receivers in the game, he has been a Second-Team All-Pro member and Pro Bowler twice.

With new head coach Kevin O’Connell joining this season, Jefferson will play an even bigger role under an offensive-minded mentor.

O’Connell will use Jefferson like Cooper Kupp, who he won a Super Bowl with last season as Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator.

For that reason, sportsbooks predict Jefferson to have the most receiving yards in 2022.

The Athletic’s Jon Machota shared the odds for receiving yards this upcoming season, per BetOnline.ag.

Jefferson tops the list at 1,325, while Kupp isn’t far behind at 1,300.

CeeDee Lamb is third at 1,200 while Davante Adams is fourth at 1,199.

Completing the list are Chase (1,175) and Stefon Diggs (1,150).

It’s an elite list and any of these receivers could end up having the most yards.

But given his performances in 2020 and 2021, Jefferson will be the smart bet.

The Next Step For Jefferson

It would be great for Jefferson and the Vikings to reach the playoffs.

They haven’t been to the postseason since drafting him and competing in the playoffs is just right for a talent like him.

The great ones always come up big during the games that highly matter.

Therefore, it would be nice to see Jefferson shine for Minnesota beyond the regular season.
