The results of ESPN’s poll on NFL players, coaches, executives, and scouts drew some pushback when the top-ten quarterbacks were revealed.
Several analysts like Ryan Clark, Warren Sharp, and Dan Orlovsky argued that former league MVP Lamar Jackson should have made the list.
No disrespect to Dak Prescott, but Jackson has had a better career than him.
The former Louisville standout isn’t your conventional drop-back quarterback and he does more damage on the open field.
His versatility has helped him bring the Ravens to the playoffs in three of his four seasons as the starter.
But if the NFL world is calling out the list for quarterbacks, the respondents got it right at wide receiver.

NFL insider Dov Kleiman shared the poll results for the top-ten wide receivers in the league.
It’s hard to argue against the list wherein All-Pro wideout Davante Adams ranks number one.
He does have a solid claim on that spot based on his performance over his last few seasons.
Meanwhile, Cooper Kupp deserves the second spot because of his stellar 2021 season which earned him Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl LVI awards.
Ja’Marr Chase gains an edge on his former teammate, Justin Jefferson, after breaking his record for most receiving yards by a rookie.
The rest of the list sounds about right with Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and DK Metcalf in that order.
The Honorable Mention List Is Also Loaded
The list will make you realize that there is a lot of elite talent at the position.
All of them could make the 2022 season more exciting, especially if all of them end up having great years.
Keenan Allen, A.J. Brown, and Terry McLaurin could make a case for inclusion in the top ten.
Meanwhile, Chris Godwin, Michael Thomas, CeeDee Lamb, and Mike Williams could use their honorable mention spot as motivation to do better this year.
