All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell believes that his NFL career isn’t over even if the numbers say otherwise.

Last season, he played eight combined games for the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Unfortunately, he registered only 101 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

His 2020 stats of 328 yards and two touchdowns don’t help his cause either.

To say the least, his career hasn’t been the same ever since he sat out the 2018 season due to a contract holdout.

But he believes that another opportunity will come, just not in 2022.

Until he returns to the field, he will concentrate on another sport, as shared by NFL Media Digital Content Editor Grant Gordon.

Gordon tweeted, “Le’Veon Bell not playing football this year: ‘This year, I know I’m not going to be playing this year because I want to focus on boxing.’ Says it’s not a one-off fight.”

His boxing career begins when he faces fellow running back Adrian Peterson in an exhibition match on July 30 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

While both athletes maintained their respect for one another, Bell declared that he would like to take the sport seriously.

Therefore, he would like to fight again regardless of the outcome against Peterson.

Will Bell Finish Peterson Before The Final Bell?

Based on their listed weight, both Peterson and Bell are heavyweights.

Typically, fighters in that weight class have the one-punch knockout ability.

It remains to be seen if either of them could score an early finish.

But if Bell wants to make an impression to get more fights, he should have a convincing victory over Peterson.

Of course, the highly competitive Peterson won’t back out from the challenge.

The competitive drive of both fighters should make this showdown intense and thrilling because they are on equal footing.
