The House Select Committee on January 6th Affairs has one of its scheduled hearings today, and we’ve been told to expect this hearing to focus on the attack itself. Specifically, we anticipate hearing how the Oath Keepers (primarily), the only ones already charged with seditious conspiracy by DOJ, used Trump’s “it will be wild” text as a call to combat. The Committee is expected to show how the Oath Keepers communicated in code and coordinated the attack on the Capitol. Perhaps most importantly, especially given the fact that Bannon and Navarro seem to be having concurrent breakdowns in the media, we expect to hear how the Oath Keepers kept in contact with Bannan, Navarro, and others, sitting in the “war rooms” in the swanky Willard Hotel. One only has a “war room” if one has generals to direct troops in battle, a war. And in this country, generals report to the commander in chief. The ultimate question going into today’s hearing is whether there is evidence that Trump communicated into the “war room” and whether the war room directed Trump’s instructions to the people on the ground.
It would be a stake through the heart of Trump. It would be direct evidence that Trump abandoned his role as caretaker of the United States and was actively waring against his country. Words like “sedition” and “treason” become necessary.
So, it is no wonder Trump is having an extreme public panic attack on Truth Social. His first blast covers a lot of ground and yet at the end remains an incomplete sentence, even in the form of a question: (Because Truth Social hasn’t cracked the technology to embed yet, we’ll cut and paste, they can be found here):
Can anyone even imagine the Unselect Committee, which was formed solely for the purpose of bringing down my “numbers,” or worse, relying on the Fake and made up stories, already largely debunked, of a female scam artist, Cassidy Hutchinson, who desperately wanted to go with the Trump Team to Florida long after January 6th, and went “crazy” when she was told no. They called her a “leaker” and worse, didn’t want her!
We are supposed to believe that their decision to leave poor Cassidy Hutchinson to freeze in the north doesn’t mean that she told the devastating truth, as will surely be corroborated by Pat Cipollone? Does Trump know that he is free to come to Washington, put his hand in the air, and testify? The Committee will surely provide him with multiple evening prime-time hearings.
Look at the people sitting on the Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs. Have you seen them before? Yes, they are essentially the same lunatics that drove the Country “crazy” with their lies and made up stories, like RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, and all of the others, who were caught in the act sooo many times, and now they’re just going with this HOAX, which is as true as me trying to strangle a Secret Service Agent from behind in, she said, “the Beast (I wasn’t even in the Beast)!
Trump’s problem is that, unlike several previous devastating scandals, Trump is unable to completely control the evidence in this matter and it is the evidence that people are looking at, not who is presenting it (though Liz Cheney has been the ultimate role model for young strong girls). The evidence, however, has been the focus because the evidence has come almost exclusively from Republicans and former Trump supporters. Trump continues to ask why the Committee won’t call anyone from “their side.” The Committee subpoenaed Pat Cipollone, his White House Counsel, wouldn’t that be “his side”? And it subpoenaed Meadows, Navarro, and Bannon, none of whom testified. Trump is panicking.
And earlier, Trump did his best to deflect attention, while leaving a looming threat:
Isn’t it INCREDIBLE that the people who Cheated, Rigged, and Stole the 2020 Presidential Election, for which there is massive and incontestable evidence and proof (and now even the Wisconsin Supreme Court just ruled that Ballot Boxes, which are impossible to control & easy to cheat with, are ILLEGAL!), are totally protected from harm (the FIX is in!), and the people that caught them cheating are being investigated. Someday soon this will change, or we won’t have a Country anymore!
We keep hearing about this massive evidence and yet never saw it. But even if we pretend it is all true, pretend the election was stolen and was rigged, it would not mean that Trump didn’t commit sedition and treason if he was commanding an army attacking the Capitol with the goal of keeping him in the presidency.
Trump is understandably losing control of himself. He knows this is different and it is different because unlike throughout much of his life, papered over in NDAs and threats, or protected by executive privilege, this matter has evidence that is out in the open. Trump cannot live with transparency. Everything Trump has ever done, at least in the political realm (and television) has been dependent upon covering the truth, hiding the facts. The man who never did produce his taxes or a real physical examination will now go through a day in which every action he did not take, and those he did, during a 187-minute attack on the Capitol will be set out before the world.
He would do well to pay very very close attention to each detail. Today, we may see evidence that an American president attacked the United States with a private army.
