The 28-year-old will occupy TFC’s second designated player spot alongside Lorenzo Insigne who signed with the club back in January. Toronto opened up two DP spots following the departures of Alejandro Pozuelo and Carlos Salcedo.
Bernardeschi joins TFC following five seasons with Juventus where he won three Serie A titles scoring 12 goals and adding 24 assists in 183 appearances across all competitions.
He joins teammate Insigne with whom he won the 2020 Euro title on the Azzurri last summer. He’s the third Italian joining TFC, with Domenico Criscito already making his debut this month.
