Right off the bat, James Wiseman showed fans of the Golden State Warriors that he is ready and eager to return to his team after so much time away.

Wiseman was part of the team’s lineup for Sunday night’s Summer League game against the San Antonio Spurs.

All eyes were on him after more than a year of being sidelined from the NBA due to injury and rehab: people wondered how he’d move, if he could score, how he would fit.

He fit like a glove: in the opening seconds of the game, Wiseman received a lob from Jonathan Kuminga and slammed it down.

The play between Kuminga and Wiseman was explosive, fun, and showed a side of the Warriors we rarely see: a big and physically intimidating side.

Is this the way the Warriors will look in the future?

Big Time

Obviously, the Warriors are the best team in the NBA right now and that’s why they just won the Finals.

But while they are known for a lot of things, being big is not one of them.

However, that is one of Wiseman and Kuminga’s most impressive attributes – they are able to make crazy dunks and impressive shots and they can also block and defend with ease too.

With both Kuminga and Wiseman gearing up for the new season, head coach Steve Kerr will have a roster that is larger and stronger than normal.

This means he could tweak his lineup and the way his team performs.

And that could make them even harder to beat, if that was possible.

Fans have been so excited to see Wiseman back on the team precisely because of the way he played Sunday night.

Those fans are ready for a lot more.
