9 Tools That Can Help Remote Teams Communicate Better

I hope you are in the same boat that I am in. There is not a day goes by when I don’t have a conversation with someone about how much easier work would be if everyone could collaborate better and work smarter.

Okay, I admit it, I am basically the product of self-help books and TV shows. But, if you think about your personal workspace and what works for you, there are probably tools that you rely on over and over again. For me it’s Google Drive, Zoom, ProofHub, and Slack.

All four of these apps help me do my job better. If we are going to get better at collaboration we need access to the best workplace apps for all aspects of life –life management, project management, communication (video calls), etc.– so that we can improve our lives—and our work.

As an entrepreneur you know that everyone on your team is valuable. But how can you make them feel valued so they’ll stick around? Or maybe you’ve just started a new venture and need ideas for tools to use with your remote team?

Here are some tools that may help you boost your remote team collaboration in your company.

Google Drive is a cloud-based storage solution that can be used to share and collaborate on documents. It is widely available, easy to use, and free of charge.

Google Drive has become an integral part of modern day business. As a result, it’s no surprise that many remote teams use this tool daily. If you’re looking for ways to boost teamwork in your remote team environment, consider adding Google Drive as part of your arsenal of tools.

ProofHub is an all-in-one work management software that allows you to manage all your tasks, documents, and communications in one place. It’s especially useful for teams that are spread out across the globe because it allows you to keep track of every piece of information related to a project or task in one place. This means that everyone has access to all the same information at once and can work together seamlessly.

You can create tasks for your team members and assign them, then keep track of all the discussions about those tasks in a centralized location. It has a built-in time tracker, project management features like Gantt charts and calendar integration, and a secure file-sharing system. You can also use ProofHub’s email integration feature to send emails directly from the app. This way, you don’t have to worry about accidentally sending something out to the wrong person or forgetting an important email address on your computer.

Process Street is a collaboration tool that helps you create and manage processes. It’s great for remote teams because it allows you to keep track of what needs to be done, how it’s being done, and who’s doing it.

The best part? You can easily customize the templates in Process Street to suit your team’s needs. For example, if you’re working remotely from another country, it might make sense for your salespeople to use a different process than your customer service reps. Or maybe you have different teams working on projects that require different steps. Process Street lets you do all of this and numerous other customization options.

Slack is a powerful messaging app that lets you create channels for different topics and conversations. You can use it to send direct messages, share files and links, and even conduct meetings with colleagues through video chat or voice call. This tool helps teams stay on top of each others’ projects in real time without having to rely on email.

It’s especially good for managing customer support and marketing campaigns. It allows you to create separate channels for each customer or campaign and then assign different team members as “owners” of these channels. By doing so, you can separate subject matter in an organized way.

Lucidchart is a diagramming tool that provides you with a wide range of features to create visual representations of data. It allows you to create and share interactive diagrams, flowcharts, wireframes, and more. The tool is completely free and has an easy-to-use interface.

Lucid Chart offers many different types of charts for your team to use. You can create bar graphs, pie charts, scatter plots, line graphs and more. You can also import data from Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel and then add it to your diagram in an intuitive manner.

The tool also allows you to collaborate with your team members during the creation process by sharing your work in real time via the web app or mobile app (available on iOS and Android). This is a great way for remote teams to stay connected while working on projects together!

Zoom is a video chat tool that lets remote employees collaborate in real time. It has been used by many companies to allow their employees to work together and stay connected, even when they are far apart.

Zoom works like a digital conference call and is typically used for meetings with multiple people. You can access it from your computer or smartphone, which means you can use it on-the-go if you have to travel for work. One of the best things about Zoom is that it integrates with other apps, including Slack, so you can share files or documents through the platform and continue working remotely without having to go back and forth between programs.

Lastpass is a password manager that helps you with the security of your accounts. It helps you to recover your passwords, save them and fill in forms automatically. It also has a browser extension which can be used to manage your passwords.

You can use Lastpass to share passwords with other team members. You can also check the history of changes in shared passwords and see who changed it last or who made changes in which version of the password. The benefit of this is that it eliminates the need for people to try and remember all the passwords they have, and it also saves a lot of time when you’re trying to access things online. This tool is ideal if you work in a remote team environment where there might be some security concerns involved.

Zapier is a tool that automates workflows between connected apps. It’s great for companies that want to bring their existing software together into one place, and it can be used to automate tasks like sending sales leads from Salesforce to a Google Sheet, or even creating an automated welcome message for new employees.

Zapier makes it easy for remote teams to collaborate with each other because it’s easy to set up the automated workflows that make each remote team member’s job more efficient.

Shift is a desktop app that streamlines your accounts, applications, and workflows. It’s simple, easy to use, and it makes your remote team collaboration simpler than ever before.

Shift works by organizing all of your work into one place. From there you can drag and drop your tasks into different lists, like “Today,” “Tomorrow,” “Next Week,” etc. You can also attach files from Dropbox or Google Drive directly from within Shift—this means you’ll never forget a file again! And since Shift syncs with Gmail and Outlook, no matter where you are or what device you’re using, all of your data will be right there at your fingertips.

Your employees are your biggest assets, but managing them is no small task. Your team may be spread across the globe, and you face a number of challenges that come with that scenario. Thankfully, there are several tools out there that can help you enhance your remote workforce and boost collaboration. Try some of these tools now to see if they have a place in your remote work setup or not.
