The Vancouver Canucks announced a number of changes to their coaching staff on Friday, with former NHL head coaches Mike Yeo and Jeremy Colliton joining the organization.

At the NHL level, Yeo and Trent Cull will join the bench as assistant coaches alongside head coach Bruce Boudreau. Yeo comes to the Canucks from the Flyers, where he was promoted to interim head coach last season after Alain Vigneault was fired.

Cull was the head coach of the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks last season. His promotion created an opening at that position and Colliton will come in as the new head coach in Abbotsford. Colliton coached the Chicago Blackhawks for parts of four seasons before being fired last season, and also was part of the coaching staff for Canada at the Beijing Olympics earlier this year.

“I am so excited to help bring this group of coaches together,” Boudreau said. “When I started the conversations with Mike Yeo, it became clear to me that he would be an excellent addition. Working with (general manager Patrik Allvin) to create a well-rounded staff was very important for us as we look to continue to build upon the momentum we experienced last season.”

In addition to these moves, the Canucks announced that assistant coach Brad Shaw was leaving the organization to join the Flyers as an assistant on John Tortorella’s staff.

The Canucks’ coaching staff now is as follows:

NHL

Bruce Boudreau, Head Coach
Mike Yeo, Assistant Coach
Jason King, Assistant Coach
Trent Cull, Assistant Coach
Ian Clark, Director of Goaltending and Head Goaltending Coach
Dylan Crawford, Video Coach

AHL

Jeremy Colliton, Head Coach
Gary Agnew, Associate Coach
Jeff Ulmer, Assistant Coach
Curtis Sanford, Goaltending Coach
