Why is the FBI seizing John Eastman’s phone in June of 2022?
The logical assumption is that they have reason to believe that Eastman is still engaging in criminal activity. Knowing Donald Trump’s history of staying in contact with his loyalists even when they are looking at criminal charges, it would not be a surprise if the FBI found that Eastman and Trump are still in contact.
John Eastman was Donald Trump’s co-conspirator who cooked up the plot to steal the 2020 election. If the FBI is still seizing Eastman’s devices, that can’t be good news for Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, or any of the conspirators who were involved in a plot to overthrow the government by stealing an election.
Trump appears to be trying to set up Eastman to take the fall, but if Eastman is smart, he will take Trump down with him.
