10 Impactful Technologies For Improved Recruiting And Hiring

With so many technological advancements taking place and remote and hybrid workforces on the rise, recruiting and hiring processes are much different than they used to be. These days, apps, software and social platforms are where many companies go to seek new talent.

Depending on your industry and company culture, however, some software will be more beneficial than others when it comes to hiring. Here, 10 members of Young Entrepreneur Council discuss their picks for today’s most impactful apps and software for recruiting and hiring.

1. WhatsApp

I find WhatsApp very useful for hiring. It’s typically known as more of a communications app, but that also makes it great for recruiting. Believe it or not, you can also post jobs there and join relevant groups to find the talent you need. – Andrew Schrage, Money Crashers Personal Finance

2. Upwork

One tip that is especially helpful for new young companies is to use Upwork. You can find high-quality employees and top freelancers quickly by simply creating detailed job listings. This is great for those who need to find someone to help with content creation, for example, but don’t have someone in-house and would like to bring on someone who already has years of experience under their belt. – Blair Thomas, eMerchantBroker

3. Zoom

Interviewing is more streamlined and effective than ever with Zoom. Being able to hold video interviews with multiple people makes it so easy to build the best remote team possible. Even companies that don’t use remote workers can benefit from the flexibility of conducting interviews on Zoom. Initial interviews could be held on Zoom and second or third interviews could be held in person. – Jonathan Prichard, MattressInsider.com

4. LinkedIn

LinkedIn has been a great way to gauge candidates before ever meeting them in person. It doesn’t act as a substitute for a real-life meeting, but it allows you to get a feel for the person and if they’d fit in well with the company culture. – Stephanie Wells, Formidable Forms

5. Deel

Deel is one of the software solutions we recommend the most. It made recruiting and hiring contractors from all over the world accessible by offering legal support in 140+ countries. The platform made recruiting talent, signing contracts and paying the best people globally fast and easy. In addition, it comes with several remunerations and withdrawal options on the contractor’s end. – Alexandru Stan, Tekpon

6. Snagajob

I love using Snagajob to post our company openings, receive and review applications and screen candidates. If you want to conduct an online interview, it lets you do that too. It’s a super easy-to-use app that you’ll fall in love with. – Thomas Griffin, OptinMonster

7. Freshteam

The one we’ve used that is excellent is Freshteam. It isn’t as notable as others, but it has everything needed for small companies to not only recruit new talent, but also to onboard them and manage them too. It’s all seamless, and that is incredibly helpful. The recruiting part of the software is highly functional and easy to use. – Baruch Labunski, Rank Secure

8. Indeed

Indeed helped us pre-screen our applicants and even contact them in a more efficient way. There are tests that help us determine if the applicant is the perfect fit, and the options are endless when searching for the next candidate for us. – Daisy Jing, Banish

9. SimplyHired

My favorite app when it comes to recruiting new team members is the SimplyHired app. It offers some really cool features to make the hiring process a smooth one. From posting your openings to candidate screening and assessments, it lets you do everything super easily. – Josh Kohlbach, Wholesale Suite

10. Olivia

Automation can eliminate the long processes and paperwork involved in recruiting. Companies can instead streamline their hiring strategies to find the right candidates quickly and efficiently. One of these automation tools is Olivia, which uses an AI named “Olivia” to automate tasks, answer candidates, schedule interviews and much more. – Jared Atchison, WPForms
