Cute and Comfy Work Shoes

Cute and Comfy Work Shoes

As I’m making my way back into the office full time, one thing that I needed to refresh in my wardrobe (after wearing athleisure wear for well over a year), was to find some comfortable work shoes for the spring and summer season. LIY Ambassador, Lisa here! As the Director of Development for a local nonprofit working to resolve and prevent homelessness, there is never a day that is the same for me. There are days you will find me in back-to-back meetings out of the office with donors and volunteers that support our mission. Some days I am out presenting to churches and businesses sharing the work that we are doing. I often attend events in the evenings as well. So, updating my shoe closet with something chic, stylish, but most importantly comfortable was a priority for me.

While searching the Internet I kept several things in mind as I was browsing. Whether you are back in the office or looking for a pair of chic and stylish heels to up your wardrobe (that won’t leave you with blisters!) These three picks are definitely worth checking out!

First up, a “staple” – A comfortable pump that would look good as well as being able to stand comfortably while giving a presentation or walking from meeting to meeting.  While there are so many nude pumps to choose from, I also wanted something with a little spin; more than just a basic nude pump.  This suede pump is exactly what I had in mind.  It is extremely comfortable; extremely! It runs true to size and my toes are not squeezed in and the footbed is padded with great arch support. Pairing it with this Express dress; I have never felt more confident and comfortable.  This outfit is perfect for office presentations and tours. The dress hugs you in all the right places and has great stretch to add to the comfort.

The second thing I was looking for was a flat. I love mules and love how you can dress them up with either a dress pant or wear them with jeans and a blazer. Sam Edelman is a go-to for the LIY community and typically you’d think heels or sandals, but these mules you do NOT want to pass up. They don’t slip and slide off your feet and are very comfortable. The shoes run true to size and there is no space off of the heel. This outfit is so pretty and a beautiful color pallet. The Old Navy pants are so soft and are paired perfectly with the Gibsonlook blazer that is equally soft, yet structured.

My last pair of comfortable shoes are trending heavy this season so I wanted to see if they were equally comfortable. Oh. My. Goodness!  (The answer is yes, yes, yes!) I wore these to a fundraising event and received a thousand compliments on them and didn’t have to peel them off my feet at the end of the night.  Each of these outfits with these heels show you how versatile a black, chunky heel can be styled.  The comfortable orange bodysuit from Express pairs so beautifully with the Gibsonlook skirt and pants.  Add a floral skirt with this pop of color bodysuit and you have a beautiful new look. The floral skirt is beautiful, airy, and even has pockets!
