Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees have finally reached an arbitration settlement.
This afternoon, Judge and the Yankees reached a settlement of $19 million for the 2022 season.
Now, the whole situation with Judge and the Yankees is over and Judge can solely focus on what he needs to do in 2022 to help the Yankees reach the World Series.
Judge is hitting .304 with 27 homers, 53 RBI, and a 1.037 OPS this season, staking his claim in the race for the American League MVP Award race.
However, ESPN’s Buster Olney revealed that Judge has some incentives set in place for himself if he were to accomplish certain goals.
He’ll make an additional $250K if he wins the MVP Award and $250K more if he wins the World Series MVP Award, should the Yankees win it all.
Given where Judge stands in the MVP race, the money he makes in 2022 may well land beyond the midpoint of his arbitration case — at $19.25m — after his side initially turned down $19m settlement. Could make $250K for MVP, also make an additional $250K for WS MVP. @Feinsand 1st

Judge Staying Focused
That’s one way to stay focused and motivated.
Judge is a player with a great drive and desire to be one of the best players in all of baseball.
So far, he has remained healthy and has carried the Yankees on their way to an MLB-leading 52 wins in just 70 games.
A major key for the Yankees going into the season was the health of Judge.
So far, he has put a cap on those concerns and is leading the race for the MVP Award.
But to have additional incentives in this new deal shows how focused and determined he is.
He wants to win, but he wants to try and be the best player he can possibly be, and he’s been doing just that for the Yankees this year.
He has a chance to become a rich man with this deal alone, but he’ll certainly earn himself a nice contract this offseason if he can keep it up.
